“I’ve missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times I’ve been trusted to take the game-winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. AND that is why I succeed.”
Quote by Michael Jordan
REFLECTION:
What “shots” have you made?
What “shots” have you succeeded at over and over again?
What “shots” have you missed?
What would taking another shot look like?
How will you go about taking another shot to succeed today?
One takes a little more effort than the other. While throwing shade might be more fun, it eventually runs out of energy. It’s designed to end conversations, not start them, to intimidate, not encourage. Turning on lights helps everyone.

REFLECTION:
Examine a recent conversation. Did you throw shade or light?
Is there a difficult conversation you need to have?
How can you start it so it results in encouragement and opening to more dialogue and connection.
