THE GIFT OF HOPE

The value of fairy tales lies not in a brief literary escape from reality, but in the gift of hope that goodness truly is more powerful than evil and that even the darkest reality can lead to a Happily Ever After.  Do not take that gift of hope lightly.  It has the power to conquer despair in the midst of sorrow, to light the darkness in the valleys of life, to whisper “One more time” in the face of failure.

Quote by L. R. Knost

REFLECTION:

  • Do you have hope?
  • Where is the light to be found?
  • What is whispering “one more time” despite fear of failure?

IS THIS HOW????

We all have negative patterns ingrained in us, left over from generations past.  Antiquated ideas and ideals that need to be relegated to the pages of history.

Pay attention to your life, your choices, your actions and your reactions.  Look for those old painful, destructive patterns,  And then decide, “Is this how I want to live?”  “Is this what I want to be remembered for?”  “Is this what I want to pass along to my children?”  If the answer is ‘no’ remember, you have the power to change the future.  It starts with changing the present.

Quote by L. R. Knost

REFLECTION:

  • Are you living how you want to live?
  • What do you want to be remembered for?
  • What to you want to pass along to others?
  • What changes do you need to make now to change your outcome in the future?

COOPERATIVE ENTHUSIASM

When someone shares a new idea, or makes a pitch, or describes a dream, what would happen if you were enthusiastic?  Perhaps positive thinking is contagious.  Perhaps egging on the other person will help them explore the edges.  And perhaps it will help them overcome their fear and share the very best version of what they have in mind.  You can always say ‘no’ later.  In this moment, your confidence and enthusiasm exist to make the idea better.  No harm in that.  For either of you.

Quote by Seth Godin from his daily Blog post.

REFLECTION:

  • When someone share a new idea with you do you offer enthusiasm or are you a “realist” trying to “save them” from failure?
  • What if you were positive and helped them explore the edges?
  • Who can you offer confidence and enthusiasm to today?
