GAIN CLARITY

Screech Owl popping out for a visit

The simplest way to clarify your thinking is to write a full page about whatever you are dealing with and then delete everything except the one or two sentences that explain it best.

From:  James Clear’s weekly blog: 3-2-1 Thursday

REFLECTION:

  • Are you struggling to gain clarity on something?
  • Try this… write about it then pick out one or two sentences that clarify it in a nutshell.
  • Let me know how it worked out.

CORRECTION vs. ENCOURAGEMENT

Correction does much, but encouragement does more.

Quote by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

REFLECTION:

  • Are there changes you are trying to “correct” in yourself or others?
  • What if you shifted to encouragement instead?
  • Try encouraging someone today (even if it is YOU!)

LET IT GO

Museo Del Carretto in Terrasini, Italy

Let go of the way you thought life would unfold;  the holding of plans or dreams or expectations – Let it all go.  Save your strength to swim with the tide.  The choice to fight what is here before you now will only result in struggle, fear and desperate attempts to flee from the very energy you long for.  Let go.  Let it all go and flow with the grace that washes through your days where you receive it gently or with all your quills raised to defend against invaders.  Take this on faith:  the mind may never find the explanations that it seeks, but you will move forward nonetheless.  Let go, and the wave’s crest will carry you to unknown shores, beyond your wildest dreams or destinations.  Let it all go and find the place of rest and peace, and certain transformation.

Poem by Danna Faulds from her Poetry Book:  Go In and In

REFLECTION:

  • Are you still holding on to what would have, could have been?
  • How can you let go… take on faith?
  • Are you willing to ride the wave to be carried to an unknown shore?
  • How can you let go today… even if it is just a small step?
