If it happened to us, our memory of it is a story, our record of it with us at the center. Even if it’s on video, even if other people were there, our narrative and the context and the play by play belong to us. The useful questions might be: “Is my story helpful?” And the follow on could be: “Is there any other version of this story that might be more helpful?”
Quote by Seth Godin from his daily blog
REFLECTION:
Is there a narrative you are “stuck” on?
Is there another version of the story that might be more helpful?
Think about the little things you enjoy, then turn around and do them for someone else. If you love it when a friend calls to check in, your friends probably love it too. Be the one who calls. If it makes your whole day when someone compliments your outfit, other people probably love it too. Be the one to give out more compliments.

REFLECTION:
What little things that others do for you, say to you that bring you joy?
Can you “be the one” today to brighten another’s day?
