“Silence the angry with love. Silence the ill-natured with kindness. Silence the miser with generosity. Silence the liar with truth.”
Quote by The Buddha
REFLECTION:
Love, kindness, generosity, and truth can be the magic potion to silence so many negative emotions.
Can you imagine a world with love, kindness, generosity and truth… it is possible and can start with you. Today operate from this place and see what happens.
When you avoid hard conversations, you’re taking on a debt that has to be repaid (with interest) at a date in the future. Time doesn’t heal anything when it comes to relationships. Make the minor repairs along the way and you’ll avoid the major repairs later on. Your success in life is proportional to the number of hard conversations you’re willing to have.
Quote by Sahil Blook
REFLECTION:
Do you avoid hard conversations?
Is there a relationship that is in need of major repairs? What conversation needs to be had?
Is there a conversation you need to have to ensure the relationship is in good standing? Are there some minor repairs that need to take place?
Examine your relationships.
What needs a hard conversation and what just needs some checking in? Take action!
Go back and take care of yourself. Your body needs you, your feelings need you, your perceptions need you. Your suffering needs you to acknowledge it. Go home and be there for all these things.
Quote by Thich Nhat Hahn
REFLECTION:
In our rush to “live” we often get so busy – not willing to stop… sit in silence or just be with ourselves.
Today “go home” and visit you.
What are you feeling,? Is there suffering that needs to be acknowledged?
Be with yourself for even just a brief time and acknowledge what you discover.
