WALLOW or MOVE ON

“We all make mistakes. We all do things, say things, that we wish we had not.

Everybody know this.  Yet, virtually everyone dwells on the consequences of their mistakes, completely robbing themselves of peace.

You can hold on to the memories of your mistakes and wallow in them.

Or you can see what you mistakenly did and said and move on. One path leads to peace; the other does not.”

Forgive yourself or ask for forgiveness.

REFLECTION:

  • Today is a new day!  Are past actions or words robbing you of peace?
  • What do you need to do to move on?  Forgive self or others?
  • Take a step today… don’t wallow in negative memories and pain.

TWO RULES OF LIFE by Mark Batterson

Everyone is my superior in some way in that I learn from them.
Everyone is fighting a battle I know nothing about, in that I empathize with them.

REFLECTION:

  • Do you see others as “superior” to you in that you they have something to teach you?
  • Do you have empathy for others – knowing everyone is fighting some kind of battle?
  • What are your rules for living?

AND LOVE ALWAYS WINS!

Hurt people hurt people. But, luckily, healed people heal others.  Safe people, shelter others. Free spirits, free others.  Enlighten people, illuminate others.

AND LOVE ALWAYS WINS!

REFLECTION:

  • A reminder… hurt people hurt people.  We need to remember this when someone is lashing out.  It is also helpful to know healed people heal others.
  • Do you offer healing for others? Shelter for others? Freedom for others? Illumination for others?
  • What can you do to be more loving today or offer healing or shelter for another?
